The company may be a year old in Bangalore. I had a bad experience working with them for 2 months in IT department. What i am aware is only of Central IT technical not about the software department.
I was removed from the company without any information to me. They did not have a proper appointment letter also. No reason was provided to me.
Beware of this company they do not provide any facilities. You will not have any growth as the department itself is small and works only with words of management who are not at all experienced in IT. There are no Benefits they provide only think they say is you will get lot to travel. Please do not fall for that they only book ticket and hotel rest all you need to spend day payment. Nothing like reward and recognition only think they are bothered about is the work> they will be happy if you work all day and night. As part of they you will not be told also if it was good work done by you or not.THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY ESABLISHED LOCATION AND CAN MOVE ANYTIME. RIGHT NOW LOCATED IN ULSOOR.
Please check the work environment when you visit for the interview and its small office. YOU will never find a sick and filthy management as in EF. They are 4 to 5 person who run the whole busness whothout any ones advise. SICK people sitting in Bangalore and Amsterdam.
They were before with PHOTON in Chennai they moved to Bangalore and scaped all the guys from photon company.
Please take care i would advie to find someone who is aware of this company and can guide you for the best descion.

This company is bullshit, the people in the Global IT management are the meanest basterds in the world. The entire management is a Tamil LTTE base. They never treat the employees as humans but worst than cattle. They like you if you can speak tamil other wise they torture you to death. The people that you should be beware is Veena, Aravinda, Srikanth. They must have been born to the most evil humans ever. They are nothing less than vampires. They only care for their benefit. they never will appreciate you for any good work you do rather take the credit for them self. they may fire you when ever they feel like and will not even pay you the salary. there are people working in this company without pay for over a year. No benefits, no transport, they dont even have a proper place to have your food. they either ask you to have food standing or sit on the floor. They are more than happy if you dont have food and work 24/7.
Dont be fooled by the constant onsite trips they give ( or as they claim ) i will tell you wat they expect you to do onsite
1. clean the floor of the server room
2. Fix electrical cabling
3. Wipe the computers clean
4. They make you stay in the most horrible and cheap hotels where there are 1000000 of cockroaches.
5. They dont even give you money for the travel, you have to spend the money from your pocket. If veena is in a good mood or she if she had satisfying sex with her husband the day before you try to claim the money then you may get your money back otherwise bye bye to your money
5. Screw in all the loose bolts in the server room
6. They dont even allow you to use office toilets when on site
you are nothing but a labour when you are onsite
This place is nothing short of hell and the management should never be trusted.
My advise never agree to work here, its the most horrible and sick ass place to to ever work

I am also an X-employee of EF and I am trying to put my honest view. I do agree with the above listed view and favor towards Tamil speaking people if people in control need to choose between non Tamil speaking and Tamil speaking person with both of same capability. But if you are better then Tamil Speaking person then you will get your due. The working style of management is very non professional, they think what they are saying is correct and if one put forward any suggestion or idea, the 1st reaction will be this is useless suggestion. Using the abusive language is birth right of Top management. If you are joining EF then do your research on work culture. It is definitely a company which believes in hires and fire policy
You may get chance to go abroad but you have to expense by yourself which you can reimburse but there is no per diam or facility to hire a cab. The expectation is to use the public transport after many hours of journey. At the end you will end up spending money from your pocket. So do not get trapped by the promise of onsite opportunity, which is at max for 15 days.
There is no plan training or employee development scheme. This company do not have proper parking space nor will you find much space around the office to park. They believe that you should decide where to park or arrange 5K/month to get a parking in building. The only good thing about this company is that it gives opportunity to work on multi technology rest all are crap.
Hi all, I second all the comments posted above but not for few which in my view are over exaggarated. This blog is providing me a good platform to shred out all the frustration which I had while I was working in this shitty place. During my tenure of working with them I went under intense mental stress and humiliation by the LADY leading the global IT team. I was almost in tears of joy when I got my relieiving letter from them. The thumb rule in this office is that you should have knowledge of Tamil language or else you are screwed. (No Tamil, no fun or else Know Tamil, know fun).
There is no HR department or any HR policies here. The only time HR comes into picture is when the management wants to take action against an employee or if management decides to screw some employees hapiness they use HR babe. Rest of the time you will see HR babe hanging around with guys bitching around the office. There are no HR policy which can address any employee greviance or can listen to the problems faced by an employee to come into his/her recue. The system is exploited by the lady leading the support team and is managing the team in a very crude method according to her will and wish. Due to this the team has seen a stunning attrition rate (40+ resignations over a period of 12 months). If you are working here, get ready to lose your self esteem, dignity, self-confidence and dont mind if you are treated like a 3rd grade citizen and Get ready to be measured in non-professional metrics There is no growth path for any employee, you have to rot in the same seat despite you are talented or good at your job. I never saw any deserving employee promoted to the next level.No wonder if you see tamil speaking natives in the decision making post there. Be careful to speak out your mind, you will be humiliated by them and make you look like a clown in front of others. Also there is descrimination in salaries, you will find the people of the same rank drawing twice the salary what you are drawing. The team management is so messed up making the team so frustrated that most of the employees look like retards craving for something. Due to all this bad feeling, I bet none of the employee there love the company or befriends any of the colleague. There is no unity in team and all seem to be afraid of each other. The people working there should get some physic healing or phsychiatric assistance to put them back into the main stream. Even though there is such an ashtonishing attrition in the team, the top management sitting somewhere abroad did nothing to put things in the right track. They might be clueless about the clear picture of the whatabouts and proceedings of the team in Bangalore, they tend to get the inputs from an improper channel.
This doesn't mean that everything is worst in EF Bangalore, there are very few little good things. I met and worked closely with some fantastic guys with capability but now most of them are gone. Only few of them are still with them and I am damn sure that they are looking out for opportunities. The management lost all their good employees who were hired long back and never realised the talent in them and made the best use of their knowledge. The office infrastructure is good with some nice furnishings and great looking interiors. You may get some travel opportunites and get to see places(but read all the aove comments about the travel experience).
So guys, dont get fooled by the travel opportunities promised or the fancy looking interiors of the office. Think infinite times before accepting an offer from them. The place is not less than any jewish concentration camp lead by the lady Hitler (oops.. did I say Hitler? His soul will be angry on me. He wasn't so cruel). Be careful, dont you ever think of working for them. Work here if you are an self destruction intended adventure loving person wanting to commit suicide. Else make an attempt to befriend some of the current employee in GIT and take his opinion about the work culture.
Let me tell you about this Glorious Company Known as EDUCATION FIRST situated in ULSOOR BANGALORE.
First of all this is an education company from outside but in reality is a BROTHEL. Run by non other than the SLUT director VEENA VENKAETRAMAN. Difference in this BROTHEL ( EDUCATION FIRST ) is here you go to get ur ass screwed by VEENA VENKAETRAMAN and her Tamil brass who occupy the top management. As previously said by my fellow brothers the office has a very deceptive look, all massage parlours also do have very deceptive looks. Same case with EDUCATION FIRST and VEENA VENKAETRAMAN. Its been told that Its her Second marriage so she considers all who work under her especially Men "Door Mats". She derives pleasure in giving trouble to all the people working under her. She is such a Pshycotic Slut that she will go to any extremes to make your life hell. Her LTTE Tamil Gang who occupy the top management posts are no Different, They must have been born with some Defective Genes which may have been accuired when SATURN himself must have fucked their Moms to produce these devilish creatures. Let me name Some of them. Aravinda Bhatt, Ravindra Kulkarni, Umran, Vikram Raghav, Arindam, Sumith Kohli. Apparently they have a great fondness for VEENA's ASS. Their Daily Duties are to Worship Her ASS and Lick it as per their Daily Schedule, and then take out their frustrations on you. That Bitch also enjoys this attention too. If u work with them you get to know how mean humans can become when they get mentored by the Almighty Slut VEENA in her BROTHEL ( Education First ). Dont Get carried away by the fact there is lot of travel opportunity in this company. Even if you get to go you will be expected to mop the server room floor, Wet wipe all the computers. Take out the Trash. You can refer the previous posts for more Interesting tasks you will be expected to perform. All the accounts mentioned in the Previous Posts are 100% true and non exaggerated. This Company is not listed with Labour Dept of india. It has a rented Location in Ulsoor and if they close one fine day dont be surprised. They dont have any Employment benefit prog, No transport, No company Policy, No Provident Fund. All the Policies are created as per the norms that favor the SLUT VEENA and the BROTHEL ( EDUCATION FIRST ) when they need to screw your happiness. They even dont have a Catering Facility only snacks. HR also next to Non Existent. They are there to Safe guard the Bitch's Interest.
All of these lead to Mass Resignations in EF, To the tune of approx 50 employees in last 4 to 5 months. All the People who left were People With Immense Talent & Knowledge, Highly Qualified, and Lots of Experience in IT field. All who LEFT the BROTHEL EDUCATION FIRST was for one reason, unable to bear the torture of Slut VEENA and her Gang of Tamils. Now after loosing the cream of the crowed The People who run Global IT are X Insurance agents, X Marketing Executives, People from Call centers, Sales background. 90% of them are not even Qualified. Now you may know what sort of Qualifications these Guys Hold and with what kind of shit you will be working with ( Aravinda Bhatt, Ravindra Kulkarni, Umran, Vikram Raghav, Arindam, Sumith Kohli. )
If you join the Company you will never grow in the company as this company only believes in Promoting Tamils. Non Tamils are Not Welcomed.
My Experience was a very very bad when i worked there and was one of my biggest Career Mistakes. I was working with EF for over 6 months about a year ago and wanted to let aspiring candidates know couiple of details which may help you in reconsidering joining EF, Bangalore. Please go through the same and your comments are welcome.
I worked for IT team which is headed by Veena and was part of the SDA which was headed by Arindam while I was about to leave. This feedback is concentrated around the IT team and in general aims at throwing light on the capabilities of Veena Venkataraman as the IT head for EF, Bangalore.
Pro's:
1) The company is located at a prime location in Bangalore, which makes it easier to access when you compare other IT companies.
2) The office furnishings and ambience is very well laid and needless to say, Pick a spock !
3) Some of the team members whom I had an oppurtunity to work with were great! (To name a few: Soma, Ajay, Vikram, Sumit and Ravi). They have some valued technical expertise and needless to say, were underpaid and overworked.
4) You will get to learn on many technologies, but at what cost?

Cons's:-
1) The HR are bunch of nitwits! They neither understand what is Human resource or atleast are least bothered about it. You will never find one to vent your feedback to and they are hand in glove with Veena.
2) Veena herself is quite sadistic in nature, She likes to torment her subordinates and push them around in a bid to satisfy herself with great pleasure by seeing the team members suffer at her hands without any resistance
3) The Trips which are known as "Office moves or new site setup" is nothing but slavery to the core for the member who is undertaking it. you will be asked to broom and clean the data centre, arrange desk computers of the employees and asked to work long hours irrespective of how tiring the work can get. You will be neither awarded for hardwork or appreciated for the job completion. The readymade answer is "It could have been done better". However, one pro with the visits are, the boarding you will have will be good! However, be prepared to spend money from your pocket as there is no per diem in this company and when you go for reimbursement, the finance team will calculate the exchange rates on their own pre-defined rates

4) Pay- The pay is not good. Please try and work at a call centre and you will notice they do not pay any substantial amount which may tell you how pathetic they are when they appraise you or make an offer. You will be allowed to PF contribution, however, the PF will be contributed only by you and there is no company contribution. The IT slab of your pay is really glitchy or better put, very grey! There is a shift allowance however, it is restricted to only 200/- per shift (This was done by Arindam when he joined and thanks to him).

5) Management and Work hours - As implored earlier, the management does not exist. It is only Veena and bunch of her tamil aspiring candidates (Shankara and Bhat to name a few) who have the comlpete control of the team. Managers are only for namesake. Rest all is controlled by Veena and her Co. Get ready to dumped with heaps of work and cheap rated emails and verbal abuses. Using the F-word is commmon with Veena and she might like to use it more than once if she doesnt find you worshipping her.

All in all, This is not an organization for the candidates who are planning to start their career or try to venture into newer waters of technolgy. If you are willing to take the risk, Please feel free to give it a try (dont say you were not warned).
I have worked for EF, Bangalore in about 2 months ago and I do not have anything in particular to remark as my time served was very less (2 months), It would be very biased to say I hated or liked something. I just had one feedback for members who have left their feedback above.
Gentlemen, Please do not use derogatory and un-parliamentary words in a public forum against any individual or an institution. Since you have all commented on how you were previously employed here, I am sure you come from very decent and professional backgrounds. Usage of such words especially against a women is really very unnecessary, uncalled for and if you ask my suggestion, Please delete your comments and try to show your frustration in a subtle manner.
As my closing comments, I would like to thank Somashekhar, Sunil, Ajay Kamath, Ravindra Kulkarni, Vikram, Sumit Kohli and Shankar for helping me and making me feel comfortable during my stay at EF and at the same time, Wish them and EF a tremendous success for the future opportunities. After a long time i got to see this blog again, still the same. well i worked in EF for almost a year apart from few issues which i faced initially i didnt have any problem. Yes i did get to LEARN on many technologies which now i am an expert on and due to which i am been paid too good. Yes i quit because of last few incidents which were unplanned and persons executing the initial work were non technical (which was like adding gas to fire). Management is same accross the industry in any company only thing is how you carry yourself. Never give room to get SCREWED.
Over all i had a good experience there and also got a chance to expand my technical skills on different domains.
No offence to other bloggers here as these were my personal views and experiences during my tenure in EF
